Gabriel — From Roofing Contractor to Real Estate Investor

Before becoming a real estate investor, Gabriel spent years working as a roofing contractor. Day after day, he climbed roofs, managed crews, and worked on homes throughout his community.

Over time, being around construction projects sparked a bigger vision.

“I was constantly working on houses owned by investors,” Gabriel explained. “Eventually I started asking myself, why not become the investor instead of just the contractor?”

That decision changed everything.

Gabriel began learning the fix-and-flip business while continuing to operate his roofing company. His construction background gave him a major advantage when evaluating renovation costs and identifying opportunities other investors might miss.

“Coming from construction helped me understand properties differently,” he said. “I already knew how to estimate repairs, manage labor, and avoid costly mistakes.”

His first flip wasn’t easy. Unexpected repairs, timeline delays, and balancing construction work with investing created plenty of stressful moments.

“The biggest challenge was learning how to manage the entire deal from start to finish,” Gabriel said. “Construction was familiar, but acquisitions, financing, and selling were completely new.”

Still, Gabriel stayed focused. With every project, his confidence grew stronger. He developed systems, built relationships, and refined his renovation process to improve efficiency and profitability.

Today, Gabriel has successfully transitioned from contractor to full-time real estate investor, specializing in fix-and-flip projects throughout his market.

“What motivates me most is the progress,” he shared. “I started working on roofs for other people’s investments. Now I’m building my own future through real estate.”
